- What do I need in order to use sprayMapper Pro?
sprayMapper Pro requires Windows XP operating system or greater,
an internet connection, and Internet Explorer 6 or greater. In
addition, you will also need to install an ActiveX control and
change a setting in your browser. This can be done using our
online setup guide when you first sign up.
- What do I need in order to use sprayMapper Lite?
sprayMapper Lite require Windows XP operating system or greater,
an internet connection, and Internet Explorer 6 or greater.
- We have our own GIS maps made specifically for our organization and would like to use our maps in sprayMapper. Is this possible?
Yes. sprayMapper Pro subscribers can call or email us using the “Contact Us” page on the
sprayMapper website and we will provide an ftp login to upload your GIS files. Please
allow 2-4 business days for the files to be re-projected and incorporated with your
sprayMapper login. This service is provided at no additional cost for first time requests.
Subsequent requests will be billed at our hourly rate.
- I just went to purchase sprayMapper, and I see that the software is provided only as a subscription with a yearly charge. Why can’t I just buy the software once?
sprayMapper is hosted software accessible via the internet. Your subscription pays for the
cost of the software, server time, storage space, maintenance and technical support via
phone or email. We have concluded that hosting the software on our servers provides the
best possible user experience – it reduces the time to deploy new features, fix program bugs,
and respond effectively to technical support and training issues.
- I just called the sprayMapper technical support number, and was sent to voice mail. How long will it be before someone answers my call?
All of our staff were likely on the phone with other customers. If you send a message using
the “Contact Us” page on the website, the entire support staff will receive your request on
their computer screen. Response times average less than 15 minutes, for email or voice mail.
- I am having a hard time understanding the sprayMapper PRO system; do you offer any type of training?
Yes. Because sprayMapper is hosted software it allows us to join your software session and
give you live training over the phone while we control your system. You are able to see
every move of the mouse and every keyboard stroke.
- If my subscription expires do I lose all my Spray Records?
No. Even if you let your subscription expire and choose not to use sprayMapper, all of your
records will be kept in our system for a minimum of 3 years. This also means that you can renew
your subscription at any time during this period.
